In March of 2013, I was invited to speak at the convention of Communidad Acuariofila Regiomontana, in Monterrey, Mexico. I have to say, this was one of the nicest convention trips I have ever been on. The convention was in a lovely hotel, was well organized, well attended, (people from all over Mexico, and the U.S.) and everyone was so enthusiastic. It was wonderful!
After the Convention a few of the members took me on a collecting trip to an area about 8 hours south of Monterrey. We had a great time, despite cactus thorns, wild fires and scary snakes and spiders! We saw a lot of incredible scenery, and found some beautiful plants and fish.
Thank you SO much to my friends in Monterrey. I really appreciated your hospitality, and would love to return again before too long!
Please feel free to leave comments on people's names, place names of other information that I've missed, (or gotten wrong!) and I will go back later and revise the captions.
